Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT)

IEMT is a therapy that utilises simple eye movements and questioning techniques to change a particular thought pattern that may be problematic for the recipient. The techniques help to create change by rapidly reducing strong feelings to help you to resolve emotional issues.

Moving our eyes in certain ways appears to connect to the part of the brain that stores our memories and emotions, thought to related to REM sleep.

IEMT asks the question, "how did this person learn to feel this way about this thing?" and helps resolve it.

IEMT can also show you why you may repeat unwanted behaviour and how to deal with this.

For example, how many of us when told by the boss that (s)he'd "like a word" in his/her office immediately feel like a school child about to be told off. This is an emotional imprint in action.

In some cases, the person can adopt aspects of identity that can be problematic. For example, an emotional imprint might be, "I feel unhappy" whilst an identity imprint might be, "I am an unhappy person" or even, "I am a depressive."

This is useful in all sorts of ways, eg. sleep issues, eating issues, smoking, anxiety, phobias, trauma etc. which can bring change, new freedom and allow opportunities to emerge.

Consultations via Zoom

What to expect

A safe, confidential space where you can explore what is troubling you. My approach is person-centred, IFS and Trauma-informed. I will be guided by you at your pace.

How to Book a Session

At present, all the work I offer is online (through Zoom). If you wish to explore working together the first step is to book an initial exploratory 20-30 minute meeting. There is no fee for this and it is not a treatment session, but so that we can ‘meet’ each other and get a sense as to whether working together feels right, and if so, so that I can explain the options and the next steps in the process, including booking the first healing session.

Fee £45 per hour, £60 1 1/2 hours or £80 for 2 hours
